Thinking about leaving your poor pet to the wild unknown with no one to take care of it? Yes? Then read on... When you first come to the Golden Valley, there are two places you can go: Adopt {that beautiful places full of happy pets frolicking in that lush valley}, and Abandon {that horrid, stinking place full of monsters and almost no food or water}. So which place would you pick? Seeing as you're here, I think I know which one. You might not notice this, but there is some fine print on the very bottem edge of the sign labled 'Abandon' which stands in front of the gate into that horrible place. The fine print {and you better read this because I had to crawl through a lot of sticky mud filled with I-don't-know-what with a gigantic and very heavy magnifying glass} reads: Throw my pet away cuz i think its trash and i dont care if it does or starves to death. Now obviously the person {or pet} who wrote this didn't really like grammer but sure knew how to make someone take a guilt trip! {if the someone even noticed it} So you click on the poor pet you're dumping and verify that you want to get rid of it. Now I would recomend running away very fast so that the thing reaching for your ankle wont grab you, even though you might deserve it, and also so that you don't hear the poor wailing cry of the lost and family-less pet you just left like they were an old sock. Luckily for this pet, there are some brave pets over on the other side of the Golden Valley who are going to hear the pet's cry and wade across the icy, rushing river to rescue it from the aweful place you left it and bring it over to the happy place on the other side of the river to live and play with the other abandoned pets until some wonderful owner comes along to adopt it!. You're a very kind person and I'm sure the pet you choose will love you forever ^^. One day you wake up and look over your family and decide it's too small. So you take the long, but definetly worth it, journey over to the Golden Valley. As you arrive, you see two signs, one labled Abandon {You barely even glance that way, afraid of what you might see. Such as an owner dumping their pet away and their pet trying to hold onto their own's leg so as not to be left behind.} and the other labled Adopt. {I also did some research on teh Adopt sign an dfound, in bigger letters written on the back: adopt because im nice and i want a new pet who doesnt have a family. Now they again didn't really know their grammer all that well, but here they can sure make you feel good about yourself and adopting!} You immediatly go to the adopt side and the sight beyond fills your heart with love: pets playing together and not a single one of them fighting with another. One spots you and calls to the others. Soon they're all crowding around you, asking what the latest news is and if any new pets have been discovered. Not a single one begs, or even asks, to be brought home with you. You tell them all the news you can remember while looking each one over. Now you are faced with the choice of who you want to bring home with you and how the other pets will react when they find out they are not the ones going to be chosen. You decide on a baby Minerva and pick her up. An old looking Swift flaps down from someplace and nearly startles you off your feet, but you manage to keep your balance. The Minerva only giggles. The Swift straightens the messenger bag which is slung over his shoulder. Looking at you, he asks if you want to adopt this pet. You answer yes and he pulls out a stack of papers about a foot thick and you nearly fall over again. He grins up at you and says "Just kidding. But you do need to pay a small fee for her." You hand over some ZetaPoints and he hands you a single paper with all ov the Minerva's stats. You find out her name is Giggle. You smile and turn to head back on home, not noticing the other pets are beaming and waving goodbye to their lucky friend, not a single sad face amoung them. Back to Top -------------------------------------------------- Creating a Pet So you've decided to create a pet, huh? Well here's an easy story-like guide to help you though! You finish creating and verifying your account and have no idea what to do. You click on the 'Pet' button and find out you have no pets! At the top of this page you see a 'Create a Pet' button which you immediatly click on. You come to a page filled with over 30 different types of pets! {33 to be exact} At first you are overwhelmed, but then some pets you really like start to catch your eye, while others you pass right over. Finally you decide on a Denret and click on the picture. This brings you to a page where you can decide on it's name, gender and color. There is a little blue star next to the name space. If you click on it, it will have a tiny page pop up so you can check to see if the name you want is already taken. You decide on a brown male Denret named Blizz. After clicking on Continue, you are in a page with some sort of test. You absolutly love tests so you start reading and are getting confused. This test decides what sort of personality you pet will have. It also decides what your pet's health, magic, defence, agility, strength, and intelligence will be. Once you finish the test and are told what all these are, you are brough to a page that says "Congraulations! BLizz the brown male Denret has been created! Blizz will be a baby for a while and then is going to grow into a full grown adult!" Exactly 30 days later, Blizz is a full grown Denret and you're one happy owner! Back to Top -------------------------------------------------- Taking Care of Your Pet You pet needs food and water so they wont die, as well as toys to keep them happy! As there are currently only three games {one of which is extremely hard for me and I have given up on x.x} and I'm sure most you you want to change your pet's color to Arctic, Shadow, or Gold, you don't really have many ZetaPoints to spare. Especially if you have a large family of pets. What I recommend is going to the shinning river everyday! This will completely heal, feed, water, and make happy all of your pets at once! If you feel like feeding you pet some more, and you have less then 2,000 ZetaPoints, you can head on over to the Food Pantry where Old Mother Martha will feed you pets until they can eat no more! Back to Top -------------------------------------------------- Training Your Pet So you want your pet to be an all time Stadium champion? Well you might have to wait a little while longer. The Battle Stadium has not yet been completed {or has yet to be released} but there are still ways to train your pet. The first is random events. You can get strength and intelligence from random events and I find you recevie more events when fewer people on. Though, of course, they are random. The second could be the Shrine. No one knows for sure what the Shrine does because no one has ever gotten anything else from it besides: The statue's eyes flash red, unwilling to move. "It is not time," a voice whispers. So maybe when you can get it to move, there will be a training place behind it? Great riches? The legendary 'Curse'? Back to Top -------------------------------------------------- Your Pet's Profile Give your pet a great, personalized profile {lookup}! So you've had your pet for a while and you're very happy. Except! One day you went to your pet's profile and saw that the message at the bottem still said "Hi! I'm a pet that's new to Zetaopolis! Will you be my friend?" Well your pet is not really new to Zetaopolis and you have enough friends so you start looking around trying to figure out how to change it. After a long and grouling search {and after you've done things like type random zetapets url's into the address bar and kicked the nearest Zeta shop multiple times}, you come across the "Pet Profiles" page after going to the "Pet" page. Next to the picture of your pet is a blank box. You click on it and a little line pops up and starts flashing slowly. Pressing a letter on the keyboard experimantally, you see you can type in it. You hurridly deleate the current message and type in a personalized one of your own! Now you can even add a background to your pet's lookup if you want, all using that little blank box.
